Tips: The moisture in the food you use on the salt plate will take on the natural salt flavour so less seasoning is needed. The more moisture in the food, the more salt flavour will be infused. You can put your Himalayan Salt Slab in the freezer to serve chilled desserts that take on a unique slightly salty flavour. Serve sashimi, carpaccio or other raw proteins on the salt slab and watch the edges harden as the salt slab starts to naturally cure the food and impart its naturally salty flavour. Heat to high temperature as above to perfectly caramelise fresh scallops with no need to season, or to sear strips of marinated steak topped with sliced chilli, coriander leaves and freshly squeezed lime juice for delicious fajitas.
